Chiropractor Heidi Knorr graduated with her degree from Macquarie University in Australia and has practiced in Perth since 2000. Her introduction to chiropractic at the age of 17, came through treatment for chronic low back pain, and was thought to be the result of intense training whilst competing at a national level for synchronised swimming.
After months of physical therapy including exercises, massage, ultrasound and infrared treatment, it was her mother who finally suggested she try chiropractic. An eventual diagnosis of idiopathic adolescent scoliosis, remarkable results with chiropractic care, and an interest in all things medical, set Heidi on the path to a career in chiropractic. With a background in both sports and musicianship, Heidi has always drawn upon her own experience to help many patients both in the amateur and professional arenas. She is however, equally at home looking after infants, toddlers and the elderly as well as the general population.
Over the years, she has undertaken courses in paediatric, pregnancy and sports chiropractic and Sacro Occipital Technique (especially extremity techniques). She is a certified Spidertech Kinesio-taping therapist and is also certified in the Webster In-Utero Constraint technique. Heidi uses a variety of chiropractic techniques in day to day practice including Diversified, SOT, Thompson Drop, Flexion-Distraction, Gonstead, Activator, cranial manipulation and CST. Heidi understands the importance of treating the individual and not the general population. Accordingly an infant will not be treated the same way as an adult.
More recently, Heidi embarked upon postgraduate studies culminating in the award of a paediatric chiropractic degree at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic. She is now 1 of only 2 chiropractors in Scotland to hold a specialist chiropractic degree. During this 5 year period she researched suck dysfunction in newborn babies, compared the Webster In-Utero Constraint Technique and External Cephalic Version in the pregnant woman, carried out case studies on whiplash and knee pain in teenagers and reviewed the benefits and risks of using pacifiers. Her final piece of work was titled “A Prospective Descriptive Observational Case Series of Infants presenting to a Chiropractor with Suboptimal Breastfeeding”. During the research for her dissertation, she discovered that ankyloglossia (tongue-ties) and maxillary ties (upper lip ties) were common in infant-mother dyads with breastfeeding difficulty and could greatly impact upon an infants ability to breastfeed. Together they could now be described as tethered oral tissues (or TOTS).
In 2014 Heidi became a member of the IATP (International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals) and spoke at their annual conference in Montreal, Canada about her dissertation. Heidi is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the Scottish Chiropractic Association. She is also a long standing member of the Chiropractic Association of Australia.. She holds certifcations in Spidertech kinesiotaoping and Webster In-utero constraint technique.
Ashlee completed her Chiropractic degree at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2012. After graduating, she moved to Edinburgh, where she practiced until late 2015.
She now enjoys living Perth and is thrilled to be closer to family. Ashlee was introduced to Chiropractic after sustaining neck injuries during her years of training and competing in Judo. After extensive physiotherapy and massage therapy there was still a residual issue that was not resolved until she started seeing a Chiropractor.
From there she became intrigued with the profession and pursued an education to enable her to become a chiropractor. Ashlee has a keen interest in helping people of all ages correct their posture and work towards better body function.
Ashlee is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the Scottish Chiropractic Association. As of late 2015, Ashlee became now a certified posture expert. She has also completed a certification in Kinesiotaping.

Reiki Master Practitioner, EFT and TAT Practitioner in Perth.
Over twenty years of work in the offices of global companies and organisations of all kinds, Wendy saw and experienced the stress many people were feeling. Stress was causing physical, mental and emotional illnesses and vast amounts of absence from work.
Achieving balance in life, making opportunities for relaxation, addressing fears and improving levels of happiness all seemed to be either impossible or not seen as important. Wendy’s awareness that ‘we are all energy and energy is all we are’ grew from her exploration of Energy Work in the form of Reiki and Meridian Therapies and she is a Reiki Master Practitioner and a practitioner in both EFT and TAT working on a self employed basis as Wendy Birse Health & Happiness.
Use of these techniques allows people to deal with the anxiety, pain, distress, discomfort, fear, illness or unhappiness which may be reducing their quality of life. At Tayside Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic, Wendy offers Reiki and the Meridian Therapies EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique).
